Just in on consignment! This very cool 1960 U1 is a no-frills legend of country and blues music. The singular pickup configuration and plywood body give a clear tone that isn't harsh, but bites in all the right ways. Electronics appear to be all original, pots dating to 1960 which could have landed this guitar in stores in '60 or '61. The tone cap seems to be burned out as the tone control has no effect, nor does the toggle activate the cap. All that works is the volume, but sometimes that's all you need! A little TLC would take this guitar a long way. It's got mojo coming out of its ears, and it plays pretty well in most spots. May need a neck adjustment and/or some nut work to really get it going. The control cavity plate is not really staying in place so we're currently affixing it to the body with a little blue painters tape.
