1986 Fender Contemporary Stratocaster (MIJ in Fugi-Gen Factory) - Black
On consignment, we have an E series Fender Contemporary Stratocaster in all black! The Fender Contemporary Strats, produced during 1984-1987, were made in the Fuji-Gen factory. This period marks the transition between the sale of the Fender name from CBS in March 1985 and the establishment of Fender's new US plant. These guitars are very well-crafted and are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This model comes equipped with two Fender single coils and one humbucker in the bridge, a Basswood body, Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, a 12" radius, stock Fender System 3 Tremolo, TBX Active Tone system, original knobs, and the factory case.
This guitar has seen a lot of play over its lifetime and exhibits significant fret wear, but it remains very playable. Additionally, there are finish dings and marks, primarily on the back of the body, and some on the neck. All electronics function perfectly.
