Back on the floor! If it's a no-frills Ric solid body on a budget that you're looking for- the 610 is your answer!
Lightweight, small bodied, and with the famous Ric build style and pickup combo. For something that sounds nothing like your Fender, Gibson, or Gretsch- this is the place to look. Sounding every bit like a 620, but with a more rugged, Spartan look to it- the 610 has punk/screamo appeal to it as much as it does indie pop. Is there a soul in the world who could deny Jetglo!? Low low (LOW) action, and butter smooth playability all the way up the neck. Even barre chords ring out with power above the 12th fret, and it's strung up with 9s! The infamous Ric bridge was swapped out with a more standard Tune-O-Matic design which functions better and feels better on the hand for palm muting. What else can we say? Great tuning stability, a fast, sleek player, and the frets have plenty of life left in them (by Ric standards, anyway). This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get into the Ric club without shelling out too much, and stand out from a sea of same.
