1996 Gibson Les Paul Bass LPB-1 - Black

Up for consignment is an all-original Gibson LPB-1 Les Paul Bass. This instrument is decked out in all black, featuring a Mahogany body and neck beneath its finish, as well as an Ebony fretboard that perfectly completes its 'murdered out' look. The LPB-1 is an active bass equipped with the stock Bartolini humbuckers, and it truly delivers a powerful dose of solid low-end punch.

The four controls on the body might lead you to believe that they are the same as the traditional Les Paul setup with two volumes and two tones. However, Gibson has designed this layout specifically for bassists, offering Volume, Treble, Bass, and Pickup Balance controls. This configuration provides a wide range of tones to choose from, and they all sound not only highly useful but also, most importantly, musical.
