Here's one you don't see everyday! These Rhomco conversion Teles rarely if ever pop up! It’s the first one that we’ve come across in person and we couldn’t be more delighted!!

Rob (Rhomco) is a noted luthier in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is still very active in the music community.  On occasion, he would carve 12-string conversion necks and pair them with different Tele bodies that he would come across. Many of the bodies were from the Road Worn 50s series, and we have a good mind to believe this is one such example. Some of the hardware looks non-original (aside from the bridge which is obviously added to the guitar). The pickups and wiring harness appear to be stock. The 12-string neck is a work of art!  With a wider string spacing, it’s much easier to play than a Ric 360/12.  The departure from the typical Fender 7.25" or 9.5" radius in favor of a 12" makes the playability even more agreeable.

Playing this guitar, we’re honestly quite surprised more companies aren’t making 12 string Tele-style guitars - the sound lends itself so well to country and roots music.  This Rhomco Tele conversion sits nicely in between a Danelectro (cheap and cheerful) and a Ric (iconic and $$!) as a professional grade instrument that won't break the bank! There are some small chips in the finish here and there (all of which are photographed), but they blend right in with the aged finish. The only wear of serious note is by the output jack.
