"This is a weird, noisy pedal. It’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing - a wicked, unruly beast briefly contented between fits of uncontrollable emotional rage. It’s equally beautiful and sensitive as it is excessive and rowdy. It’s a delay and a chorus, nor really is it either, with a permanent noise floor, dirt, humanity, it modulates itself based on the strength of the affected signal, it becomes unpredictable."

The External / Internal is a PT2399-based chorus, but with specific control over the delay time of the modulation as well as input level gain and a separate, secondary gain stage. Think Chorus, Delay, Overdrive, Fuzz, and unpredictability all wrapped up beautifully into one.
