In the early 80s, the RAT distortion pedal was qubiqitous- offering a more cutting and modern, amp-like sound than previous fuzz and overdrive offerings. Arguably the first (the only?) "distortion" pedal out there! This LM308N based take on the circuit features a wide range of RAT tones, with a Tone control that is usable all across the dial. The Rattler doesn't get overly harsh or muddy- the brighter tones are open and clear, while darker tones retain focus which allows for chord extensions and emphazised dynamics.
