Codename: Black Hat is a distinct type of fuzz pedal that uses three transistors, including two silicon and a unique germanium transistor referred to as "The Black Hat." It features two simple controls, Volume and Fuzz. The Fuzz control is distinctive in that even at its lowest setting, it still retains some bite and can be thought of more as a character control. The volume knob on the guitar is the real fuzz control. Also the cigarette lights up.
