The Germino Lead 35 is a hand-wired, lower-wattage guitar amplifier head built by Greg Germino that replicates the classic tone of a 1968 Marshall 50-watt Plexi (Model 1987) circuit! Perfect for those hunting that classic Marshall tone in a lower wattage format. This one has the Master Volume Mod (PPIMV) option installed.
- Power Output: 35 Watts
- Circuit & Tone: Based on the late-60s Marshall Plexi lead circuit, offering tight low-end, rich mid-range grunt, and dynamic touch sensitivity that cleans up easily with your guitar's volume knob.
- Transformers: Custom Heyboer 35w Trainwreck/Stancor replica output transformer with interleaved primary and secondary windings.
- Tube Compatibility: Accommodates a wide variety of power tubes—including EL-34, 6CA7, KT-77, 6L6GC, 5881, KT-66, and 6V6—without requiring a speaker impedance mismatch adjustment (just rebiasing).
- Rectifier: Solid-state rectifier.
- Build Components: Hand-wired on in-house UK-sourced turret boards using NOS tube sockets, film/foil coupling caps, CTS pots, Cliff jacks, carbon film/NOS carbon comp resistors, and F&T filter caps.
