This 1971 Guild ST-302 is sure to turn some heads! Sporting a well worn Sunburst finish, this "Double Florentine" cutaway is chock-full of vintage mojo. Initially conceived as an offshoot of the original Starfire series, the short lived ST series guitars are a real treat to play.
A thinner 2" body pairs well with the single coil pickups and Guild "Harp" tailpiece add a touch of class the the striking shape of this instrument. Frets still have a decent amount of life and play well throughout the neck. A few minor details to note are the missing strap button on the neck and some slight buckle rash, but we think it adds character. The finish and binding are showing signs of wear, subtle checking throughout the body and headstock; this is definitely player grade, all original (except for two of the knobs which were replaced, period correct) and extremely well cared for.
The unique single coil design really brightens up the traditionally warmer sound of a semi-hollow guitar, perfect for those looking to diversify their arsenal. We would venture to say this would be a great addition to any studio, or in the hands of a singer songwriter who admires a guitar that demands to be strummed!
