Little is known about the somewhat rare Hamer Cruise Bass, initially introduced in the early 80's, the Cruise Bass sported a set-neck design, one-piece Honduras mahogany body, 21 frets, and PJ-style pickups with a midrange contour control. Picture the offspring of Jazz and P Bass with a set neck and top of the line hardware! And from what we've been able to gather on TalkBass, pretty much everyone regrets selling theirs. Couple that with the fact this Cruise Bass is a first year production (1982) and was heavily gigged by its sole owner; we'd say the lore this bass possess might transcend the lack of available information online. The unique body shape is otherworldly and the neck feels like a dream. Showcasing moderate play wear (see photos) this Hamer feels perfectly broken in. The pickups sound punchy and lend themselves to being able to achieve just about any sort of tone you can imagine. This one won't be around long!
