Just in! We have a nary-seen 45W flip top model bass amp from the late-90s Mark Sampson era Matchless! The Thunderman is a true Jamerson dream with a little more headroom and output for modern playing styles. EL34 power with a built-in compressor circuit makes this one a singer with great dynamics control and a light, early harmonic saturation. The 15" speaker is unbranded, but it thumps in the very resonant closed back cabinet.
P-Bass is instant with this amplifier, but it is also no stranger to guitar. With a Les Paul we found Bassman style tones with more chime and open midrange- perfect for pedals. Here we love the compressor circuit even more, for tying together a long run of effects right at the input and taming delay oscillations or frequency spikes.
