2024 Gibson Custom Shop '57 Les Paul Special
This incredible Les Paul Special from the Gibson Custom Shop just doubled our sales floor's cool factor. Few other guitars out there are beloved for their raw simplicity like the LP Special is. 2 slabs of mahogany, 2 P90s.... little else to remark on after that!
An incredible player in fantastic shape (short of some chipping by the bass-side tailpiece post)- the frets are immaculate and the VOS finish glistens like a well seasoned cast iron! The 50s C neck isn't a baseball bat by any means, but has a distinctively round back to it that feels great for small and large hands alike. One of our favorite features of this guitar is the shimmer of the aged dot inlays against the richness of the Indian Rosewood board.
Plugged into a Vibrolux the guitar has a warm, honeyed tone in the middle position with some reverb. But, bridge position into Marshall is instant 'Mats or Johnny Thunders with a mordant crunch that has been preferred by a number of literate, sneering rockers for decades.
Very Good condition, includes OHSC, COA, and all hang tags.
