Carvin DC-400

Kisel parted ways with the Carvin brand a few years ago, only leaving us with the ability to speculate about the exact origins of this USA Custom DC-400. An unfinished maple neck that runs through the body, mahogany wings, maple quilted top, unbound ebony fingerboard with rectangular pearloid inlays... the utmost attention to detail went into this build.

Carvin's proprietary electronics; original pickups with active preamp, master volume control, passive tone control, coil split mini-toggles for each pickup, and out-of-phase mini-toggle switch.

Tastefully curated wooden knobs and pickup rings look great with the gold hardware; a Floyd Rose pairs nicely Sperzel locking tuners for all of your dive-bomb needs. The custom truss rod cover reads, "Gerard J". We believe this was a custom appointment for one of the previous owners? Take it or leave it, we think it adds a subtle touch of class. 

The action on this guitar is perfect and it plays like butter, a testament to what Carvin was doing at the time. A few nicks and dings here and there, but excellent all around quality at an astonishing price. 

In very good condition, original hardshell case included. Guitar weighs 7lbs 11oz.
