The circuit is based on the original Vox Tonebender of the late 60's, with tweaks for more gain, better cut, and overall improved operation.  Ronny used one with the Stooges, and my goal was to obviously nail the blistering tones of their first two albums. It's all in there… Funhouse, Dog, T.V. Eye, etc.  I tried to balance the tonality to work well with both Humbuckers and Strats, finding that middle ground of biting Fuzz without being too harsh or lacking character in either application. The result is a powerful & biting tone that has great sustain and definition.

These are all hand wired with high quality, through hole components and are true bypass. Under the hood are a pair of vintage new stock Mullard OC139 Germanium transistors, tested and biased for each pedal. Carefully wired into a hammond wedge enclosure built exclusively for Daredevil, these are made to deliver the best in raw retro fuzz action for decades to come.
