Fairfield does it again! This new Slew Distortion is a little complex to explain, so we can put it in lay terms: a dynamically modulated distortion utilizing their psychedelic and syrupy Low Pass Gate.

This pedal loves when you let the notes/chords sustain and slowly die out (synth and keyboardists take note), but on guitar if you stab out notes with longer intervals (pitch AND time) you'll get sweeping scales of harmonics and beautiful harsh noise style feedback. We're talking about that squeal- the type of feedback that makes you feel something. This pedal is crazy fun at punishing volume levels, but DI offers a bit more control and literal interpretation of the effect. We love running it into some other type of saturation or compressor to round out some of the insanity and box it up. The Accountant is a great option here. All the more, CV/EXP control opens up a lot with this pedal. Sweep the LPG!

Another winner for sonic exploration- don't be fooled, this pedal can be mellifluous as much as cacophonous.
