One of the most beloved and discussed effects pedals of all time is the Mu-Tron Bi-Phase of the 1970s. It has been a staple effect pedal for nearly 50 years, used by all walks of sound sculptors from Lee Scratch Perry to Frank Zappa to Billy Corgan. The Bi-Phase at it's heart is an opto phaser using the old-school lamp technology found in the Univibe. Multiply it by 2, add a complex feedback control and routing options and you've got yourself one of the most defining phaser sounds out there.

Updates for the new Bi-Phase II include smaller enclosure, CV control, streamlined/symmetrical control layout, standard 9V power, and lots more.
