Just in! This beautiful Supro is almost 70 years old and aging like wine. Tons of vibe from the oversized National single-coil pickups, rusting brass hardware, milky white finish, and designer pickguards. You have seen a model very similar to this in the hands of Ry Cooder and David Bowie, and sure, probably Jack White too. Unmistakably "old sounding" - especially with the flat wounds - it stings with bluesy playing styles, and loves low-wattage amps! Jack had this one a while and used it a bunch in his recordings with the Cactus Blossoms, but now it's being given the chance to inspire someone new!
Moderate fret wear is apparent, The action is raised up a bit to avoid buzz, given the lack of truss rod and angle of the neck going into the body. It fights back a little bit, forcing you to dig in which we love for this guitar. The rear pickup was raised with an additional ring for better balance, and a traditional 3-way pickup selector was installed. Otherwise the guitar is in marvelous shape, and includes a very cool vintage case!
