Now on the show floor: a super vibey, great playing, great sounding 1974 Fender Precision Bass.
In a well-worn natural finish, this is a fantastic player-grade vintage instrument with the original pickup. Amazing tone, and a feel you simply can't get from modern production basses. The neck is fat with a nice rounded carve to it, and in classic 70s-Fender form you have a very cozy taper from the narrow width at the nut to a grip-able and rip-able 12th fret chunk. The frets are moderately worn, but it lends to a tremendous playing feel across the neck.
The bass has seen some mods over the years with a Badass II bridge, a vintage Schaller low-E tuner with Drop D lever, and there appears to have been some rewiring. The pickup and pots are original. Knobs are non-original, and the pickguard is questionable.
The frets appear original. Either that, or it was a masterful refret. There's notable wear around the fingerboard edges, but almost none to the face of the board. As stated there is some fret wear apparent, but there are no issues with play anywhere except at the 15th fret on the low E. This can be addressed with a slight action raise, or by leveling a fret or two past the 15th.
The case is non original, likely a late-70s/early-80s judging from the orange "shag" interior.
All in all, you'll definitely want this one over a brand new P-Bass. You shell out a few hundred more now, but you'll understand why you did in no time.
Good condition, includes hardshell case. The bass weighs 10 lbs flat.
