This is one of the CLEANEST contemporary Telecasters we've ever come across in it's original stunning silver! The model was an import from Japan in 1985 when Fender didn't even have a USA factory when CBS sold the company, but not the Fullerton factory. Later that year Fender would be back up and running in Corona. These were no doubt a shift from the Teles of the past with features like dual humbuckers with coil tap, locking Schaller tremolo, and 12" fingerboard radius. Black Francis of Pixies was a particular admirer of the model, and perhaps it's most notable player. A perfect guitar for the frenetic riffing of the burgeoning music scene at the time.
Our example that we have here is in marvelous shape with little to no fret wear, only some minor cosmetic flaws (most notable at the neck pocket. A fantastic player with a bunch of great sounds, and a unique, collectible guitar from a oft overlooked Fender era.
Excellent condition, includes HSC.
