Fender upped the ante with this model back in the late 80s! Manufactured exclusively between 1985 and 1989, this bass is now a rarity, with the Pearl White models gaining significant notoriety thanks to Duff McKagan of Guns 'n Roses, who relied on an early-production passive Jazz Bass Special for most of his live and studio performances. The Contemporary Power Jazz Bass Special has a number of upgraded and experimental specs fit to suit the rock bassist. Features like a P Bass body, more frets, active electronics to accomodate longer runs of cable (preserving signal integrity), a reverse P Bass Single coil in the neck for tons of tonal options, and an active A.T.E. (active-tone-enhancement) circuit, allowing you to dial in added bottom end or brightness to your bass's sound. This bass has seen some normal play wear and shows pick scratching on the body, has light fret wear, and is all original.
