2022 Fender Custom Shop 50s Pine Esquire - Super Heavy Relic

One pickup, and the truth!

The Esquire was one of the earliest solid-body guitar models available to the public, and Leo Fender got so many things right on his first try out that very little has changed about it since- even with the advent of the Telecaster. The unmistakable chime and punch of this single pickup in a slab wood body defined genres of music for generations. Whether your chick'n pick'n, playing bottleneck, or furiously windmilling- the sound and feel of an Esquire will have you feeling right at home. Modern refinements include a compound radius for easier bending in the upper register and comfy chording in the lower register.

This guitar has been very gently played, kept in a smoke free home, and includes all the original ephemera.

The wiring harness was swapped out for a Starr Guitars Esquire Pro which offers the following 3 positions: 1) Volume with no tone. 2) Volume & .022 Mallory capacitor 630v tone control. 3) Volume & .0047 Mallory capacitor 630v (fixed tone).

The harness includes:

1 x USA made CRL 3 way pickup selector switch with black tip
1 x .022 Mallory 630 volt Capacitor

5 x Gavitt vintage style push back black (ground) and blue (hot) cloth covered wires, 22 gauge, pre-tinned, with a waxed braided cotton outer insulation.
1 x Switchcraft #11 input jack with heat shrink strain relief on both terminals
