Fantastic as a boost, and great for players seeking level control without any distinctively compressed tone.

Limiters function differently in that they don't reduce dynamic range, so your quiet sounds don't get any louder, but your loud sounds get lopped off once they pass the threshold. Great for avoiding unwanted clipping in vintage gear, or from lead guitarists from jumping WAY out in front. Useful more than toneful, but as mentioned- this pedal crushes as a boost!
