From the highly competitive, forward thinking days of the early 1980s- the Fender Princeton Reverb II is a fantastic amplifier, however a Princeton in name alone.

The power was kicked up from the usual 12W to 22W, and the speaker was changed to a 12" from a 10". Then they kicked the tremolo, added a lead boost, and threw a II to the name. Is this essentially a 22W Mesa? It's very close! This amp really does a lot and sounds fantastic doing it; just don't expect the glassy, snap of a black panel Princeton Reverb. The cleans on this amp are strong and immediate, and when its pushed into drive it has that boutiquey, full-frequency lead tone. Very similar to a Mesa MKI. Lots of utility, and honestly, although it is nothing like a Princeton- it is a great size and sound for gigging. The lead boost is a great addition for bringing up the volume of the amp, rather than pushing more volume into your input and just driving the amp harder.

The amp is almost completely original, and it was just overhauled by our friend Jeffrey Falla of ToneTron Amps. Don't sleep on this one, these are fantastic amps for about $1,000.

Excellent condition. Includes footswitch.
