What we have here is a highly versatile hand-wired amplifier with 20 watts of power, driven by two EL84 tubes. An ingenious design by Friedman, you have a very wide range with your gain and master volume controls. The PT-20 can deliver a tight bottom end and midrange comparable to a 100-watt amp, thanks to custom transformers and its super clean signal path. The amp produces harmonically rich, detailed chords and resonant single notes. It cleans up well with the guitar's volume knob even at higher gain settings, and eats pedals for breakfast! It features a new ultra-transparent series FX loop that integrates time-based effects pedals and rack units seamlessly into the sound of the amp. This handcrafted amp is made in the USA, showcasing a stylish black tolex exterior, tongue and groove Baltic Birch construction, and durability to withstand countless tours.
