This beautiful 78 Tele Custom is 44 years old and has a bunch of stories to tell! It's numerous modifications give the guitar a unique look and feel with vintage Sperzel tuners, a 6-saddle brass bridge, and Gibson speed knobs! The neck pickup is original and wields immense power in front of any amp we plug it into. The bridge pickup's origin is unknown, but its output balances well with the Wide Range and has the 70s Tele twang you would hope for. The neck feels well played and super comfortable- the fingerboard was sanded for minimal drag while the back of the neck retains its finish for a traditional Fender feel. The refret turned out great on this one, which allows for gymnastic pickin and low action.
Classic country and rock tones are abundant in this guitar, and at 8lbs even this one is easier on the shoulder than many other examples of this era. Excellent player grade vintage Fender!
