1994 Fender Limited Edition 40th Anniversary '54 Reissue Stratocaster - 2 Tone Sunburst

Celebrating 40 years of this iconic design, Fender released this anniversary model- limited to 1,954 pieces!

While this guitar is celebrating the big 3-0 itself, it makes you wonder- "what has kept this model so popular for so long?" Very little has changed about the Strat in its 70 years of existence, but the subtle alterations have kept players and collectors enthralled with mapping out specs, materials, finishes, and hardware... This model isn't a dead ringer for a real '54, but Fender went ahead and made the best Strat they possibly could and wrapped it up in a 2-tone Nitro finish just like the old days.

This guitar is a great player with minimal wear- just your usual play wear with no major gashes or dings. Clean enough to be collectible, but played enough to feel okay keeping it out of the case! The neck and frets are in fantastic shape, and we're absolutely chuffed by the shapely 2-tone burst. Overall the guitar feels substantial- something Fender was really proud to offer. Included is the poodle case and all the case candy- Repro 1954 Factory catalog, hang tags, instructional materials, etc.

These were really special instruments for the post-CBS Fender company, and they are widely loved by their owners. One of whom is a favorite here at El Diablo; Dave Gregory of XTC!
