1996 - 1998 Squier Vista Series Super Sonic -Silver Sparkle

The Squier Vista Super Sonics were manufactured in Japan at the FujiGen factory from late 1996 to early 1998. Not too long of a run, but these guitar were built very well with Fender parts and now beloved Atomic Humbuckers. These guitars featured basswood bodies and came in four distinct finishes.

The Super-Sonic showcases an asymmetrical body design reminiscent of an inverted Fender Jaguar or Fender Jazzmaster. It is equipped with two humbuckers, a three-way pickup selector switch, and a traditional Stratocaster-style six-screw vibrato. One noteworthy aspect is the absence of a tone control, instead opting for individual volume controls for each pickup. These controls are also wired in reverse, with the one nearest to the bridge adjusting the bridge pickup, while the control farthest from the neck adjusts the neck pickup. In line with other Fender offset models, the Super-Sonic utilizes a shorter 24-inch scale length and features a 22-fret bolt-on neck with a large reverse headstock resembling the CBS-era design.

This guitar has been played and appreciated with only minor marks on the back of the body. The frets feel smooth with no divots and lots of life in them. Everything functions as if it just came off the line!
