This Novo Solus M1 one is a real treat to have here in the shop. Light as a feather at 6.6 lbs, a pleasant chunky "C" neck carve, set up with medium-low action that sustains but does not fight, and the aging is tasteful and convincing like mid-century modern marvel. The guitar features a beautifully figured, tempered pine body with a razor thin Olympic White nitro finish so all the natural grain is visible. Celebrating the successes of Gibson, it nods its head to the Les Paul Junior with its 24.75" scale, and single Fralin P90. The neck is tempered Maple, paired with a dark Rosewood board with exquisite rolled edges, clay dots, and a 9.5" radius. A simple control set can be deadly when you use the best; yielding a slew of incredible guitar tones with Emerson Pro pots and an .022uF Emerson paper-in-oil tone capacitor. This guitar has a lively resonance that jumps out at you both plugged in and when strummed alone. It's all thanks to Dennis Fano's genius tempering of the woods and meticulous standards as it mimics decades of aging like your favorite vintage guitar.
"The design and build ingredients in the Solus are the same things that I try to incorporate in all of my designs: comfort, balance, ergonomics, flowing lines, attention to detail, and quality components."
This guitar was built in 2021 and only shows very light fret wear.
