This (almost) forgotten gem comes on consignment from Jack Torrey of the Cactus Blossoms. You may have seen an appearance from this guitar on a couple of their covers!
Supposedly purchased new by a prospecting guitarist, it was taken out for one lesson, and then left in the case for decades. We have a hard time poking holes in this theory- because this is one of the cleanest LG1s we have ever seen. The finish is glossy all over with only a couple marks in the top. The back clearly didn't touch anything but case velvet for a VERY long time until Jack scooped it up. The sound is open, clear, and robust. Strumming out an Emaj chord on this fires off like a cannon, reaching all the way to the back row. The frets are medium-low and decently wide per the era. The rosewood board is a rich deep brown without significant wear. The plastic bridge was replaced with Rosewood, and there is one bridge pin missing. Everything else on the guitar is original!
An amazing player- songs will spill out of it every time you pick it up.
