The E2 era saw some changes to the Explorer model as well as a few different iterations. This CMT model gets its name from the bound curly maple top, which on this specific example is especially vivid and three dimensional. Previously owned by a member of the band 40 Thieves, there is substantial wear on the back of the guitar where they had either stenciled or stickered their name onto it. The guitar is mostly original, a replaced nut is our only observation. But the frets, pickups, hardware and electronics are all stock. The Dirty Fingers humbuckers sound incredible and the TP6 bridge works great for on the fly tuning adjustments. Overall it's in great shape (from the front), all adjustment points function as they should, and most importantly it plays great! The neck is near-satin, smoothed out from play, excellent action with minimal buzz all the way up the neck!
The case is in rather poor shape. Torn and stickered tolex, and there's a belt which is being used to ensure the case stays shut as the outside latches aren't retaining a complete hold.
