2022 Gibson Custom Murphy Lab R6 Les Paul 1956 Reissue - Goldtop (Ultra Light Aging)

This stunning recreation of the iconic model (in a distant universe, before PAFs) ticks every box to ensure a legitimate playing experience that looks and feels like the real thing! Starting with the headstock shape and logo placement, the ABR-1/P90 combination, and the aged gold top with natural 1 piece (unrelieved) mahogany back- this one could fool the keenest eyes out there upon first glance!

This sweetie was kept in great shape overall, living mostly in the studio. However, there is a significant chip in the top of the guitar that doesn't look to be from the factory, as well as a couple small dings/gashes in the back, and some incredibly light- almost invisible fret wear up to about fret 5. The finish doesn't necessarily scream "Ultra Light Aging" as advertised anyway, so all that checking and frosty nickel hardware makes real play wear feel right at home. Most importantly, this is one of the nicer playing LPs we've had come through the shop. The action is super smooth- dreamy for a proficient, light picker. Each note booms with a clear sustain and perfect intonation, as the P90s add their signature growl that is welcomed warmly by every amp they meet. A professional-grade instrument, without question.
