2002 Gibson Les Paul Custom Historic Collection 3-Pickup '57 Black Beauty Reissue Guitar
The beauty of beauties! This early 2000s Historic Collection offering from Gibson captures the formative moment in their history where the PAF was introduced with the Les Paul model. And to really celebrate the innovation, they put in 3 of them with gold plated covers! You've seen this guitar played by Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, and most famously by the one Peter Frampton on "Comes Alive!" This guitar is synonymous with rock'n'roll and needs no further introduction.
The guitar was just set up in our shop with lightning fast action, but still retains its full bodied sustain! At 10 lbs 4 oz, this Custom is not for the faint of heart! It's every bit like the originals, so the legacy of this famous model can continue to be passed on as original examples become ever-rare and near priceless. The guitar shows a fair amount of wear on the body- pick scratches, buckle rash, some light hazing- all the usual stuff you find on a well-loved guitar that's 20 years old! Frets are full factory height, and this one-owner masterpiece is ready for it's new forever home!
