2013 Gibson Les Paul Tribute '52 Bullion Gold Limited Edition

Honoring the life and work of the great Lester Polsfuss- Gibson released a limited to 400 quantity of these Gold Bullion '52s.

Not only gold on top, but on the back as well... and the neck!!! The gold over the grain of the mahogany gives off a plush, beautiful look for collectors- but, players, imagine a guitar that patinas front, back, and sides! Too cool to even imagine. This collectible and rare model has been gently played and mostly kept in its case. The only wear to be seen (some cracking along the binding) seems to be typical of this model, and they are rarely seen without it. The rest of the guitar is flawless, save one small spot on the back where the finish didn't seem to connect. The area is missing the gold paint, and is indented slightly- but smooth as if finished over.

No matter how collectible, this one is a player through and through- offering an effortless experience from the first fret to the last. The signature growl of the original Les Paul model is all there- through the P90 pickups that have scarcely changed since their inception by Gibson almost 80 years ago. The deluxe trapeze tailpiece feels rock solid and along with the dark Rosewood board the guitar feels substantial and elegant.

This unique piece serves as a must for any serious LP collector, or anyone wishing to hang something especially eye-catching on the wall. But, nevertheless anyone looking for a traditional '52 style Paul to play doesn't need to look far to see this is a particularly good option.
